Indianapolis alt-rock trio Wife Patrol announces the release of its sophomore LP, NOPLACE, on May 2, 2025. The album is now available for pre-order on 12” vinyl and digital formats on Bandcamp. The first single “We Who Are About To” was released on March 7, 2025 on digital platforms.

NOPLACE is the product of three misfits maneuvering the ugliness, the uncertainty, and the joy of modern life together,” the band said. “Over the past decade, this group has carried each of us through personal and even global upheaval. The new songs carry on that tradition while also showing off our growth as musicians and songwriters.”

Wife Patrol produced and recorded the 10-track album with P. David Hazel (The Lemonheads, Extra Blue Kind, Bullet Points) from 2022 to 2024. As with all Wife Patrol projects, the writing and production of NOPLACE was a collaborative effort, with contributions to lyrics, instrumentation, and arrangement coming from all three band members. And the vocal co-leads and harmonies that have become the cornerstone of the band’s unique sound continue to take center stage while the music’s inspiration spans multiple decades and genres. It is the much-anticipated follow-up to the band’s debut LP, “Too Prickly For This World”, which garnered praise from publications including VICE, AFROPUNK, and The Alternative and earned a slot on Bandcamp’s shortlist of 16 all-time best-selling alt rock albums.

NOPLACE arrives as the band looks forward to celebrating its 10th anniversary in fall 2025.

Singles

The album’s first single, “We Who Are About To” premiered March 7, 2025. With echoes of Morricone and Gilmour, Wife Patrol’s expansive, wind-swept song takes its time exploring what it is to rule over ruins.
